Our breeding dogs are proudly handler/owner raised, trained & titled in a variety of fields.  We repeatedly prove that our dogs have stable social temperaments and can go anywhere and do everything with us!  We particularly love the sport of Schutzhund, because it tests all aspects of a working dog - intelligence, willingness to please, scenting ability, nerve stability, as well as health and endurance.
We only breed dogs that meet the highest standards in health,  temperament, longevity, workability and structure.  Each breeding is carefully planned with specific goals in mind.   We have been a registered breeding kennel for the past 14 years - producing only 9 QUALITY litters over the past 14 years.  We occasionally breed in order to keep back a puppy as our next competition dog.  We only breed excellent dogs with a proven health, temperament and working record - to only the best stud dogs with specific goals in mind.

All of our breeding dogs have certified hips & elbows and are free of any health problems before they are ever considered for breeding.   We also now test for DM (degenerative myelopathy) since there is a genetic test now available!  We offer lifetime support to our extended "Immerstark family" and are proud to say that most of our puppy buyers are now close friends!

Puppies are whelped indoors, and are raised underfoot in our large country kitchen - where they are exposed to other dogs (including our rescued Chihuahua X), our 9 year old daughter, indoor cats, loud noises, slippery surfaces, lots of handling and ongoing stimulation.   ALL of our dogs enjoy life as part of the household and are wonderful family companions as well as super competition dogs!  We limit our number of dogs so that each dog is raised in the house as part of the family and enjoys a full active lifestyle on our 28 acre hobby farm.

We also own and operate UNLEASHED K9 PERFORMANCE - a dog obedience training school where we offer group classes, private lessons and do behavioural consultations, specializing in aggression issues.  Click here for more info.

I purchased my first German Shepherd in 1994. Over the past 20 years I have looked for and finally found incredible dogs that are healthy, have excellent stable social temperaments, and who love to work!  I enjoy competing with my dogs in both CKC events, as well as in the sport of Schutzhund.   I like a well rounded dog that above all else - is a happy, healthy and social family member.

I am happy to now be working dogs out of my own breeding program, where I've trained and titled several generations now.  Our puppies have excelled in Schutzhund, Obedience, Tracking, Agility, as Police Dogs & Detection Dogs, and most important - as wonderful family companions.  You can check out some of our dogs' accomplishments on What We Produce.

I started in the sports of Schutzhund, CKC obedience & tracking 15 years ago. During this time period I have titled 9 different dogs to a total of 44 performance titles winning multiple High In Trials, High Obedience, High Tracking & High Protection in Trial honours.

I am currently preparing a young female from our own breeding program, Iraven von Immerstark, for competition.  We are planning a litter with "Raven" for late 2014 - stay tuned!  She is an incredible dog with stable nerves, excellent workability and beautiful structure and perfect health!

I first started competing in CKC obedience in the 1980's and shortly thereafter joined the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada to pursue the sport of Schutzhund (tracking, obedience & protection).  I founded the Lakeside Schutzhund Club where I was the President for 10 years.  I am also a past
Training Director for the Ontario Region of the GSSCC.

Over the years I have raised, trained and titled multiple dogs from puppies all the way to SchH3, competing many times
at a National level with a top 10 placing for Canada.  My
female V-"Trixie" SchH1, SchH2, SchH3, AD, KKL 1a Lbz
was a Canadian National Siegerin.  I have earned my Gold Sports Medals in schutzhund, winning multiple High Tracking, High Obedience and multiple High Protection In Trial awards.

Prior to the Toronto Police Service having their own K9 Unit I was requested to use one of my trained dogs in a missing person search earning a letter of appreciation from them.  I have also successfully trained a dog through to RCMP Police Dog Certification.  I then got into TV work, with my trained dogs appearing in Littlest Hobo episodes, on Wayne & Shuster and appearing on Dr. McCutcheon's People and Pets.
